WHO I AM

I have lived in Spain for a number of years and my paintings are inspired by my surroundings and travels around the world.

My work is the result  of the essence of a visual experience that I search for or come across unawares -colours, shapes and textures of  landscape, old buildings decayed walls, eroded rocks that to me have a beauty in their metamorphosis.

I use a mixture of mediums, oil, acrylic, collage and other natural materials, which I either pour, scrape or build up in layers  to eventually reach the intrinsic quality of the orginal perception

La pintura de Gina Brown es fundamentalmente abstracta, una interacción entre la autora y las texturas, las formas y los colores en la naturaleza y en el medio ambiente. La técnica de verter, raspar, capar, manipular diferentes materiales, pigmentos, oleos, acrílicos, geles y otros, transforma la superficie hasta transgredir el sentimiento que fuera la idea original: “Cuando pinto, comienza un metamorfosis, la acción inicial cambia gradualmente según se desarrolla el proceso de creación."
